Introduction

This NE6 Wallet Policy explains how the Wallets work by New England Connect LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”). This policy forms an integral part of the agreements, terms, and conditions to which users (“User,” “you,” “your”) accede upon availing themselves of our platform.

Overview of NE6 Wallets

The NE6 Wallets are digital wallets integrated into the NE6 Platform, providing users with a secure and efficient way to manage transactions, make payments, and withdraw earnings. There are two main wallets:

Transaction Hold Policy

To ensure security and allow time for dispute resolution, all transactions processed through NE6 Wallets are subject to a 14-day hold period before funds can be withdrawn. This applies to:

  • Event ticket sales
  • Product purchases
  • Service bookings
  • Any transaction deposited into a user’s NE6 Wallet

This hold provides protection for both buyers and sellers, allowing for any disputes to be addressed before funds are released to the seller.

Dispute Handling

In the event of a dispute regarding a transaction within the 14-day hold period, the funds will remain on hold until the dispute is resolved. This includes disputes related to:

  • Service performance
  • Product delivery
  • Event cancellations
  • Booking cancellations
  • Anything involving an NE6 Wallet Transaction

Once the dispute is settled, funds will be released based on the outcome. NE6 may mediate the dispute, but the final resolution depends on the seller’s refund and dispute policy.

Withdrawal Process

Once the 14-day hold has cleared and no disputes are active, users can withdraw funds from their NE6 Wallet to a designated payout method:

  • PayPal Withdrawal: A fee of up to 3.5% + $0.49 may apply for PayPal withdrawals.
  • FREE Withdrawal Options: Users can request a bank wire transfer or a mailed check without any additional fees. Contact NE6 support to initiate these withdrawal methods.

Withdrawals are typically processed within 3-5 business days, depending on the chosen method.

Minimum Payout Threshold

The minimum payout threshold for both the NE6 Directory Wallet and NE6 Vendor Marketplace Wallet is set at $50.00 USD. Users must accumulate at least this amount in their wallets before they can request a payout.

Fees and Charges

  • NE6 Pays Payment Processing Fees: NE6 covers all payment processing fees on behalf of the seller. These fees are included in the commission the seller pays, so the seller is not responsible for separate payment processing fees.
  • Commission Fees: The seller pays a commission to NE6, which factors in the payment processing fees. For the most up-to-date commission rates, sellers can refer to NE6’s Fee Schedule Policy at NE6 Fee Schedule Policy.

Scammer Forfeiture and Legal Action

In cases where a user engages in fraudulent activities, all funds in their NE6 Wallets (both Directory and Marketplace) may be immediately forfeited. NE6 reserves the right to pursue legal action, including but not limited to:

  • Recovery of damages
  • Legal fees (court costs, attorney fees, investigation costs, etc.)

NE6 may also issue chargebacks to affected buyers and work with law enforcement to address fraudulent behavior.

Tax Compliance

Users who receive $600 or more in payouts in a calendar year are required to complete a 1099-K form. Users must provide their Employer ID or Social Security Number for tax reporting purposes. Failure to submit the required tax documentation will result in withheld funds until compliance is achieved.

Account Security and Fraud Detection

All transactions made via NE6 Wallets are protected by advanced fraud detection measures and PCI DSS-compliant security protocols. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is encouraged to enhance account security. NE6 also uses real-time monitoring to detect and prevent fraudulent transactions.

Dispute Resolution and Support
