New England Connect USA’s Fee Schedule Policy

Note: This policy accompanies New England Connect LLC’s Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, End User License Agreement, Returns and Refunds Policy, and other policies found in the “Policies” area.

Welcome to the collection of websites operated by New England Connect LLC, referred to collectively as “The NE6 Platform.” This includes:

Introduction

This Fee Schedule Policy delineates the various fees attendant upon the services proffered by New England Connect LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”). This policy forms an integral part of the agreements, terms, and conditions to which users (“User,” “you,” “your”) accede upon availing themselves of our platform.

Advertising Fees

Advertising fees pertain to all advertisements, featured listings, and promotional activities. Fees are contingent upon the advertising package selected and are meticulously detailed on our advertising information page.

Booking Fees

Customers shall be liable for a fixed booking service fee of 3%. This fee is incorporated into the total amount at checkout and is unequivocally non-refundable.

Commission Fees

Commission fees for listing proprietors typically range from 0% to 15%, contingent upon the nature of the establishment or event, the user’s activity and ranking, and other pertinent factors, including but not limited to, sale size and profit margin. Detailed information concerning commission rates is available in our Commission Fees section.

Our current standard commission rates are as follows:
Sold tickets have a 8% commission, which is paid for by the event host. Ticket purchasers pay a $1.00 fee per ticket purchase (excluding free tickets).
Bookings have a 12% commission, which is paid for by the booking host. Bookers purchasing a bookable listing pay a flat 3% booking fee.
Marketplace transactions have a 12% + $0.50 commission, which is paid for by the selling vendor. Currently there are no fees for customer transactions on the Marketplace.

All payment processing fees are paid by New England Connect LLC.

Commission fee refunds are not guaranteed, even on cancelled or refunded items. Commission fee refunds are at the sole discretion of NE6 and handled individually.

Administrative Fees

Administrative fees are applicable to sundry services such as processing refunds, adjudicating disputes, and other administrative tasks. These fees shall be disclosed at the time the service is requested.

Cancellation Fees

Booking cancellation policies vary by listing and are determined by the Listing Owner. The non-refundable 3% booking service fee is deducted from any refunds. Cancellation fees include seven standard policies ranging from 1 to 7 days in advance, with varying refund percentages:

  • 1 Day 100:0 – 100% refund if canceled at least 1 day before, else 0%
  • 1 Day 100:50 – 100% refund if canceled at least 1 day before, else 50%
  • 2 Days 100:0 – 100% refund if canceled at least 2 days before, else 0%
  • 2 Days 100:50 – 100% refund if canceled at least 2 days before, else 50%
  • 3 Days 100:50 – 100% refund if canceled at least 3 days before, else 50%
  • 5 Days 100:75 – 100% refund if canceled at least 5 days before, else 75%
  • 7 Days 100:75 – 100% refund if canceled at least 7 days before, else 75%

Notice Required for Booking Cancellation: No advance notice required, but 24 hours is recommended for courtesy. Additional cancellation guidelines should be confirmed with the Listing Owner.

Other cancellation policies vary by listing and are determined by the Listing Owner.
Ticket Cancellations:
Discretionary of event host, up to 24 hours before the event. New England Connect LLC will not refund ticket sales within 24 hours of an event start. Ticketing fees will be refunded at the discretion of NE6.
Marketplace Order Cancellations: Discretionary of selling vendor after 24 hours of order being paid. Refund after 24 hours of payment are at the sole discretion of the selling vendor.

Returns and Refunds Fees

Returns and refunds may apply as per the guidelines on the listing page or at the discretion of the Listing Owner or New England Connect USA. A restocking fee and other fees may apply for processing these transactions.

New England Connect LLC is not primarily responsible for enforcing or mediating disputes regarding cancellation or refund policies, as these are determined solely by the Listing Owner. However, if a resolution cannot be reached between the Customer and the Listing Owner, both parties agree that New England Connect LLC may intervene to facilitate a resolution. In such cases, New England Connect LLC will take over the dispute process. NE6’s decision in mediated disputes will be binding as part of the platform’s resolution process. However, this does not waive the parties’ rights to pursue arbitration or court action under applicable law if they believe NE6’s resolution violates their legal rights.

By using the platform, both the Customer and the Listing Owner agree to adhere to NE6’s standard dispute resolution process. NE6 reserves the right to charge an administration fee for managing the dispute, which may be deducted from any refunds processed as part of the resolution. NE6 retains all non-refundable service fees regardless of the outcome of the dispute.

Subscription Fees

Subscription fees apply to users who opt for premium services. These fees are billed on a recurring basis as per the subscription agreement.

Wallet Withdrawal Fees

New England Connect USA does not charge a transaction fee for withdrawing from your NE6 Wallet to PayPal; however, PayPal may charge you a fee of up to 3.5% + $0.49 to receive a payout. If you are uninterested in paying any withdrawal fees, we offer FREE payout methods in the form of a bank-wire or a mailed check. There is absolutely no payout fee charged when withdrawing from users’ NE6 Wallet. If you are interested in a bank-wire or a mailed check, please contact our customer support.

PayPal Fees

PayPal charges us a 3.5% + $0.49 for any PayPal, credit, or debit transaction processed on New England Connect USA. This fee is covered by NE6 and paid for by Sellers/Vendors through the commission fees we take per sale. New England Connect LLC does not refund payment transaction fees.

Stripe Fees

Stripe charges us 2.9% + $0.30 for any credit or debit transaction processed on New England Connect USA. This fee is covered by NE6 and paid for by Sellers/Vendors through the commission fees we take per sale. New England Connect LLC does not refund payment transaction fees.

Service Fees

New England Connect LLC does not refund service fees.

Scammer Fees

Scammer fees include all costs associated with addressing fraudulent activities on the platform.

  • Forfeiture of Funds (Scammer Forfeiture Fee): All funds in both of the User’s NE6 Wallets will be forfeited immediately upon discovery of their involvement in scams or fraudulent activities. This applies to both the NE6 Directory Wallet and the NE6 Vendor Marketplace Wallet.
  • Legal Actions (Legal Action Fee): New England Connect LLC reserves the right to take legal action against scammers, which may include:
    • Charging the scammer for any incurred losses, including hardships experienced by scammed users.
    • Pursuing civil litigation to recover damages and legal fees.
    • Reporting the scammer to law enforcement authorities for potential criminal charges.
  • Responsibility for Legal Fees: Scammers will be held responsible for all legal fees related to any actions taken by New England Connect LLC or scammed users, including but not limited to:
    • Attorney fees
    • Court costs
    • Investigation fees
  • Chargebacks and Refunds (Chargeback or Refund Fee): New England Connect LLC will process chargebacks and refunds to users scammed on our platform. This includes refunds for purchases made up to six months prior to the discovery of the scam and chargebacks through our payment processors (PayPal and Stripe) for transactions deemed fraudulent.
  • Invoice Policy for Scammers (Scammer Forfeiture Fee):
    • Creation of Invoice: If funds are not recovered from the scammer’s NE6 Wallets, New England Connect LLC will issue an invoice for the owed funds. The scammer is legally bound to pay this invoice upon registration on the platform.
    • Grace Period: New England Connect LLC provides a grace period of no more than 60 days from the date of invoice issuance for scammers to make full payment.
    • Interest and Late Fees: Interest at a daily compounded rate of 0.2630136986301% (or the maximum rate allowed by law) will accrue monthly at 8% if the invoice is not paid within 60 days. On the 61st day, all accrued interest and a $50 late fee will be added to the principal balance. This late fee will continue monthly until the invoice is paid.

Tax Compliance

Any User with $600 or more worth of sales in a calendar year is required by law to submit a 1099-K form. This will necessitate providing New England Connect LLC with their Employer ID or Social Security Number. Failure to comply will result in withholding of funds exceeding $600 until the 1099-K form is completed.

User Obligations Summary

  • Prohibited Activities: No engagement in scams.
  • Forfeiture: All funds in NE6 Wallets forfeited upon scamming.
  • Legal Fees: Responsible for all related legal fees.
  • Chargebacks/Refunds: Subject to automatic chargebacks and refunds.
  • Debt Payment: Immediate payment of invoices for owed funds.
  • Interest/Late Fees: Daily compounded interest and monthly late fees after 60 days of non-payment.
  • Tax Compliance: Submit 1099-K form for sales over $600/year.
